Cablers Remember John Lennon with New Docs

The 30th anniversary of John Lennon‘s murder is Wednesday, and the cable news channels are remembering the tragedy with new documentaries this weekend.

The program takes an in-depth look at the career and final days of the Lennon, featuring exclusive photos of the former Beatle, first-hand accounts from the New York Police Department officers who were called to the scene of Lennon’s murder, as well as new details about the murderer, Mark David Chapman.

John Roberts hosts the new CNN documentary, “Losing Lennon – Countdown to Murder” which is one of two specials CNN will air on Lennon tomorrow. The other is a 30-minute doc titled “John Lennon – Living in America.” The new CNN programs have several exclusives: previously unaired audio interviews with Lennon’s killer, Mark David Chapman, and his wife Gloria Chapman, and new interviews with Julian Lennon, and Jim Gaines, the first journalist to interview Chapman.
