While HBO exclusively broadcast this afternoon's concert outside the Lincoln Memorial featuring Bono, Usher, Bruce Springsteen and, well, just about every other musician/celebrity, the cablers went live to the event when President-elect Barack Obama took to the podium just after 4pmET. ABC News took it live as well with a special report. Throughout the afternoon, wide shots were employed by the cablers, but the speech was the only part taken live (will ABC follow suit when it comes to the first Inauguration ball?).
