Here’s the News on the New CBS Morning News
Alex is over at the CBS Broadcast Center on W 57th St. for a news conference on the new morning show. He’ll have a complete write-up later, but here’s the news from Alex via @TVNewser so far.
[CBS News Chairman Jeff] Fager says the morning show will go on the road, Gayle King says she will focus on CBS. Ending OWN TV show.
Charlie addresses the early wake up call. Says he wishes the rumors of his wild nightlife were true. Normally wakes up at 5 or 6 am.
Jeff Glor to be a special correspondent on new morning show.
And it is official. Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Erica Hill named co-hosts of the new CBS morning show.
Chris Licht will serve as EP of new CBS morning show. Will remain as VP of programming as well.
New CBS morning show starts Jan. 9. Space isn’t even close to ready yet.
