‘John King USA’ Gets a New Executive Producer

Rebecca Kutler will take over as the executive producer of “John King USA” on December 14, Washington Bureau chief Sam Feist announced in a memo today.

Kutler replaces Michelle Jaconi, who transitioned off the show in October as part of the move to the 6pmET hour.

Kutler is currently the executive producer of the first two hours of “CNN Newsroom.” During her time at CNN, she has been based in Atlanta, New York and Washington DC, where she began her career as an intern during the 2000 campaign.

Today we’re excited to welcome Rebecca Kutler back to the Washington Bureau.  Starting December 14th, Rebecca will take over as executive producer of John King, USA.

Rebecca is an outstanding executive producer who has proven herself with CNN in Atlanta, New York, and Washington.  She is currently the executive producer of our Atlanta-based 9am-11am CNN Newsroom program. She also served as supervising producer and executive producer of weekend primetime and served as executive producer of our 2010 Ballot Bowl programming.  Rebecca has produced interviews with everyone from Laura Bush to Oprah. Before going to Atlanta, she worked in New York as a producer for Campbell Brown and American Morning. Rebecca began her CNN career as an intern in the Washington Bureau during the 2000 campaign.

Please welcome Rebecca and her husband Dan Gilgoff, the religion editor for CNN.com, to the Washington Bureau.
