Kyra Phillips Signs off CNN
Kyra Phillips, who will be moving a few floors away at CNN Center hosting a new show for HLN, anchored her final show for CNN today. Phillips didn’t get to say much of a goodbye, as the 11am hour ended with live events from Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Phillips will be covering the political conventions later this month before her HLN show debuts in September.
Phillips joined CNN in October, 1999 after reporting and anchoring stints at KCBS in Los Angeles, WDSU in New Orleans, and WLUK in Green Bay.
Ashleigh Banfield will be taking over the 11amET timeslot on CNN.
