Lara Logan Reports Special ’60 Minutes’

“60 Minutes” is planning a Memorial Day Weekend special for the show tomorrow night itled “Honoring our Soldiers.” The hour, which will be reported by CBS’ chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan includes a new report from the fighting along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.

Also airing: Logan’s interview with Staff Sgt. Sal Giunta from last Fall just before he was awarded the Medal of Honor — the first living solider since the Vietnam War to be decorated with the nation’s highest military award.

Giunta and his colleagues recount the story of the ambush in which Giunta’s actions saved lives and earned him the Medal. The special airs tomorrow night at 7pmET.
