Lee Cowan Leaving NBC News, Returning to CBS

TVNewser has learned NBC News correspondent Lee Cowan, who joined NBC in 2007 from CBS News, is expected to return to CBS soon. Cowan joined NBC News’s Chicago bureau in the summer of 2007. He went on to cover the Obama campaign, and, after the election, moved to NBC’s Los Angeles bureau. (Where he would meet his future wife.)

We hear a deal is being worked out. CBS did not confirm the move. NBC News had no comment. Cowan appeared on “Today” (above) this morning.
