The full statement, after the jump…

IN SESSION anchor Lisa Bloom has decided to leave the network.

Bloom has been an anchor with IN SESSION – formerly Court TV – for eight years. Bloom plans to move to Los Angeles to be closer to her family and to pursue a new chapter in her career, including book writing and reporting.

“Being an anchor at Court TV/IN SESSION has been a dream job – the best job of my life, hands down,” Bloom said. “But it’s time for me to return to my hometown of Los Angeles and pursue new challenges, especially writing. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank my network and my show team for eight fantastic years.”

“Lisa has made great contributions to IN SESSION,” said Marlene Dann, executive vice president, IN SESSION. “Her insight and acumen will be missed. We completely respect Lisa’s decision to be closer to her family and to pursue new professional opportunities. We wish her tremendous success in this new phase of her career and look forward to an ongoing relationship.”

Bloom’s long-running series, Open Court, will continue to air on IN SESSION and her last day as anchor has not yet been determined.
