Lou Dobbs: ‘If everyone at CNN had been fired for stupid things, they wouldn’t have anyone to fill up the air.’

Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs appearing on Julie Menin‘s show on NYNonstop, the digital channel of WNBC in New York, continued to bash his former employer, but had a sense of optimism about the new leadership.

• On Rick Sanchez: “Aside from the lamentable stupidity of what he said, if everyone at CNN — all of the anchors had been fired for stupid things, they wouldn’t have anyone to fill up the air.”

• On himself: “I’m doing exactly what I want to do … and I don’t have that conflict that I had with the uh, well, specifically, the management of CNN: Jon Klein who has since been fired.”
