Mazzarelli’s Big Morning

This is a big day for Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy. “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet” bows today at 9am on Fox affiliates in about 40 percent of the country.

It’s also a big day for Tom Mazzarelli, the show’s executive producer, who left his senior producer gig at Today to create the new show from scratch.

In this AP story, Mazzarelli draws comparisons between the 1996 launch of FNC and today’s launch of his show: “Fox overall has a history of looking at a landscape and where some may see it as cluttered, they see an opportunity.”
