Meredith Vieira Leaves ‘Millionaire’ For ‘New Adventure With NBC’

Former “Today” co-anchor and current NBC news contributor Meredith Vieira is leaving her long-time side job as the host of the syndicated game show “Who Wants To He a Millionaire.”

According to Brian Stelter, Vieira is “about to embark on a new adventure with NBC,” though no details on that were immediately available.

Given that Vieiera has remained a contributor to NBC News since she left “Today,” and that she hosted “Millionaire” even as she led the morning news program, once can infer that her “new adventure” may involve a new syndicated program. The AP also reports that Vieira is launching a YouTube channel which will focus on soft-news stories.
