Nightline remains #1 in Late Night
With Leno and Letterman in re-runs last week “Nightline” won the week in Total Viewers and younger viewers. Last Friday — the day of the earthquake in Japan — “Nightline” had its most-watched Friday show since September, 2005. (It was last Thursday’s show that had execs doing some damage control.)
Bill Weir anchored from California last Friday and from Japan Monday and Tuesday of this week, before returning to the U.S. on Wednesday.
ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on one hour.
