Obama and Atlantis Compete for Cable Time

President Obama appeared in the Rose Garden this morning to talk about the ailing economy amid the meager jobs report and rise in the unemployment rate.

Obama’s statement comes as the final countdown is on for the final shuttle launch. At this hour, Atlantis is still set to lift off at 11:26amET. Anderson Cooper of CNN and Shepard Smith of Fox News are at the Kennedy Space Center for coverage. Obama wrapped up at 11:12amET, and it was back to coverage from KSC.
