‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ Doesn’t See ‘Golden’ Ricky Gervais Ratings Bump

Earlier, we predicted that Thursday’s installment of “Piers Morgan Tonight” would get a slight ratings bump thanks to having Ricky Gervais on as the guest, fresh off of his “Golden Globes” appearance. As today’s ratings chart shows, that wasn’t quite so.

“PMT” did see a slight jump in the 25-54 demo from the previous show with Condoleeza Rice, but total viewers were actually down slightly.

“PMT” was able to top MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” in both total viewers and the demo, but finished far behind FNC’s “Hannity” in both categories.

Of course, all of these premiere week numbers are largely irrelevant, as what really matters is where the program ends up settling.
