New Shows "Testament to Voters' Newfound Passion"
Stanley writes about CNN Election Center, anchored by Campbell Brown, MSNBC's Race for the White House, anchored by David Gregory and FNC's America's Election HQ with Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly. But Stanley may do well to have Brian Stelter read over her copy. She writes, "Tucker Carlson of MSNBC, Paula Zahn of CNN and John Gibson of Fox News were swept out of the way," in favor of the new political shows. Zahn left CNN almost nine months ago. The 8pm hour was filled with Out in the Open until Election Center became a plausible nightly program in January, as it started to become clear the Democratic primary wasn't going to be over anytime soon. Brown didn't become the permanent anchor until March 10. The FNC example is also a stretch. Insiders reiterate Gibson and Heather Nauert's Big Story is not canceled, but that America's Election HQ is on the schedule indefinitely. Email This Post |
