Ratings: 20/20 Chile Mine Rescue Special Delivers for ABC

The “20/20″ primetime special “Miracle at the Mine, which was about the mine rescue operation in Chile, drew 6.2 million total viewers Wednesday night. Those are the best numbers for ABC in that time period since December, 2009.

The special replaced a new episode of legal drama “The Whole Truth.” The 10 PM Wednesday slot was also where the drama “Happy Town” failed to catch on with viewers this Spring.

It was canceled before ABC could order the “back nine” episodes.
