A source tells the New York Post Gray “was kicked off the story” and left Pennsylvania this week following revelations of a DUI arrest after Gray attended a Sunday Night Football party at the home of Jerry Sandusky‘s lawyer on Dec. 11. The DUI stop came in the early morning hours of Dec. 12.

Gray, who works for NBC Newschannel has been covering the story for NBC affiliates, MSNBC, and the “Today” show. He last appeared on MSNBC a day after the arrest, Dec. 13, on Dylan Ratigan‘s show.
