Former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez and the Anti Defamation League’s Abe Foxman were guests of New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez at Yankee Stadium last week. Sanchez lost his job last October after a radio rant in which he called “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart a “bigot” and went on to say, “a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart.”

Many people took Sanchez’s comment as being critical of Jews, including Foxman, who wrote at the time:

As often is the case with these situations, it took an unguarded moment for Sanchez to reveal his own bigotry, ironically, in awkwardly fashioning the same accusation against another media type. And there it was again: the age-old conspiracy theory about Jewish control of the news media, this time brought to the fore by a well-known television personality with a loyal audience following on CNN.

Now it seems Sanchez and Foxman have set aside any differences they may have had over the incident ( a spokesperson for Sanchez says he and Foxman are friends).
