Sources tell us Jeff Zucker is closing in on his choice for co-anchor on the revamped CNN morning show. One of the top names is Kate Bolduan (left), CNN’s congressional correspondent. In recent weeks, Bolduan has been anchoring alongside Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.”
Bolduan joined CNN in 2007 as a correspondent for CNN Newsource. Prior to Newsource, she was a reporter for WTVD-TV in Raleigh. She began her television career as a production assistant for NBC News and MSNBC in Washington D.C.
Another name we’re hearing is Christi Paul who has been an HLN anchor for the last 10 years.
One of Zucker’s first moves as CNN Worldwide president was to do away with the 14-month-old “Starting Point” anchored by Soledad O’Brien. Chris Cuomo departed ABC News in January to anchor the new CNN morning show. Veteran producer Jim Murphy will named EP.
