WebMediaBrands, the company that owns mediabistro.com, is acquiring TVSpy.com from Vault, Inc.

“TVSpy fits perfectly into our Mediabistro blog network, which includes TVNewser, the must-read site for coverage of network news,” said our boss WEBM CEO Alan Meckler. “The combination of TVSpy and TVNewser should further ensure our leadership in coverage of local and national broadcast and cable news on air and online.”

TVSpy, once known as Shoptalk, a pre-Internet newsletter covers news, job moves and gossip from local TV stations around the country. It will now become part of our fast-growing network of 18 blogs covering all areas of the media: including advertising, social media, sports media, publishing and the Web.
