In March, Jamie Chung photographed sunglasses awash in melted chocolate for New York's "Best of New York" issue (a shout-out to the now shuttered Nolita shop Lunettes et Chocolat?). Then, earlier this month, Horacio Salinas' shot of honey-dipped Tom Ford specs led off "Killer Bees," a photo portfolio of sticky sweet luxury goods in The New York Times Magazine. We combined the dripping duo into the above image. Now all we need is a third pair of sunglasses dunked in a viscous liquid, and we can write a trend piece for the Styles section! Fondue is probably too wintry for this time of year and gloppy white sunblock may not read well on camera, but what about ketchup or mustard (now selling briskly for Memorial Day barbeques)? We'll keep an eye out.
