TWR MOTION, a ministry of TWR, tells God’s story through animated videos. We believe people of all cultures deserve to hear about Jesus in a way they understand. That’s why we create videos that are culturally appropriate, gospel-centered, and useful to church planters using digital disciple-making strategies.

Role Description

The TWR MOTION team is seeking a missionary Animator to create content for church planting partners—producing high-quality, gospel-centered videos to enhance disciple-making efforts.

Why we need you

Our animated videos are vital in sharing God’s story globally. Creating high-quality animations that resonate culturally ensures the gospel is understood and impactful.

Responsibilities

1. Animating videos using 2D techniques in Adobe After Effects.
2. Collaborating with the art team to develop visual concepts early in production.
3. Developing animatics and tests throughout the project.
4. Staying updated on industry trends and applying new techniques.
5. Supporting other video-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
• Enthusiasm for full-time missionary work, including building prayer and financial support networks.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in animation, fine arts, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong 2D animation skills with Adobe After Effects.
• Creative and artistic ability.
• Flexibility to adapt artistic style to project needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Quick learner with high motivation.
• Cultural awareness, humility, and adaptability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Bonus Skills

• Illustration and/or design skills.
• Motion graphics experience.
• Some 3D animation experience.
• Cross-cultural experience.
• Availability to work from Cary, North Carolina.
