Position: Library Assistant - Fresno County Public Library
The Fresno County Public Library invites applications for the position of Library Assistant. Incumbents assist the public with library materials and programs, support professional librarians, may be responsible for a community library, and perform related work as required.
Note on Vacancies
The current vacancies are part-time, limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. The eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill both full and part-time positions as vacancies occur. Working hours vary between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including evenings and weekends (including Sundays). Applicants must be willing to work various shifts and travel between sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: One (1) year of full-time, paid public contact work involving clerical duties.
- OR
- Education: Completion of thirty (30) semester units of coursework acceptable within the U.S. accredited college or university system.
Licenses
- Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
- Possession of a valid Class "B" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
