Job Title: Library Assistant - Fresno County Public Library

The Fresno County Public Library invites applications for the position of Library Assistant. Incumbents provide assistance in the use of library materials and programs to the public, support professional librarians, may be responsible for a community library, and perform related work as required.

Please note: The current vacancies are part-time and may be limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. The eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill both full and part-time positions as vacancies occur. Working hours will vary between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Applicants must be willing to work various shifts including evenings and weekends (including Sundays), and to travel between sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: One (1) year of full-time, paid public contact work experience involving clerical duties.
• OR
• Education: Completion of thirty (30) semester units of coursework acceptable within the U.S. accredited college or university system.

Licenses: Possession of a valid Class
