About the Role
As a Visual Merchandiser, you contribute to an inspiring, elevated, and consistent customer experience by implementing visual standards and commercial excellence. You will be responsible for executing the visual, commercial, and styling curation according to visual & commercial guidelines for the store. You will also use your trend and competitor awareness to provide colleagues with the correct information, coach, upskill and develop the store team to contribute to a great customer experience.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the total OMNI customer experience by ensuring visual and commercial curation according to guidelines (In-direct)
- Represent yourself and the H&M Brand positively during customer interactions (Direct)
- Organize and plan your workload according to store activation plan and adapt based on business needs in collaboration with your Store Management team and Area Visual Manager
- Launch and maintain global campaigns and sale activities on time according to Brand Standards
- Ensure garment care, stock levels, and provide input on allocation to Store Management and Area teams
- Perform sales report follow-up, identify and prioritize visual & commercial opportunities in collaboration with Store Management
- Create actions to increase customer satisfaction to reach sales targets, store goals, and budget, with follow-up in collaboration with Store Management
- Follow procedures and best practices for OMNI services, operational routines, legal requirements, and communication in all store areas with the Store team
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Stay updated with fashion trends, styles, products, brands, competitors, and influencers
- Plan time for fashion & trend awareness to understand trend theory and mood boards for styling and presentation to anticipate customer needs and enhance shopping experience
Team & Development
- Share, inspire, and educate your store teams, keeping them updated on seasonal changes, fashion trends, visual & commercial information, and in-store communication
- Coach and develop store teams' visual and commercial skills to ensure high-quality product presentation
- Support and develop routines and best practices to maintain visual & commercial standards and customer service engagement
- Develop and coach talents, provide onboarding training, and organize visual & commercial upskilling
- Complete Visual Competencies & Commercial 4 All trainings based on regional and sales market goals
- Support expansion projects for Sales Market and Area teams
Visual & Commercial Execution
- Execute visual & commercial curation & styling based on calendar, allocation, activation plan, and trends
- Ensure sample picking routines, stockroom management, and trend storytelling according to guidelines
- Maintain window and styling execution to create an inspirational customer experience
- Manage layout, fixtures, and signage to optimize customer flow and product presentation
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to ensure proper lighting and display maintenance
- Maintain display forms and interior materials sustainably
- Ensure store navigation and layout are up to date according to guidelines
- Manage POS material and store cleanliness and safety
Who You Are
- You are curious, creative, proactive, solution-focused, flexible, and possess effective communication skills
- You have fashion interests and leadership skills, with experience in visual and commercial store presentation
- You are solution-focused and knowledgeable about best practices and routines
- You can manage and act on sales reports and KPIs
