Part-time Faculty Positions
DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach courses across all 10 colleges and schools. Interested individuals can submit their credentials to any relevant posting. The pool is ongoing, depending on curricular needs and funding. Candidates will be contacted if they reach the finalist stage for specific courses. The pool remains until the specified closing date; resubmission is required to remain in the pool beyond that date. All pool members will be notified by email when postings close.

Responsibilities:
DePaul's Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) is located in Chicago's Loop, the city's central business district. CDM values diversity and seeks to recruit and maintain a diverse faculty. Part-time positions are available throughout the year, including summer sessions. Course schedules vary quarterly, and the college will work with selected individuals to determine schedules. Courses are not guaranteed, but notice will be provided well in advance. Applicants with matching expertise will be contacted for interviews.
The School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Film and Television, Animation, Creative Producing, Documentary, and Screenwriting, located on the Loop campus and at DePaul Cinespace Studios. More information is available at SCA website.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work, or an undergraduate degree with five years of relevant professional experience (exceptions may be approved by the dean).
- Preference for candidates with a graduate degree in film or cinema, professional credits, film festival or contest awards.
- Demonstrated experience working in diverse learning environments.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
The Film and Television Production Program seeks instructors with experience in cinema production, including pre-production, production, and post-production. Applicants in screenwriting, sound design, post-production, or television are encouraged to apply.
