As a Studio Manager (SM), you will be responsible for providing leadership and daily direction to the sales and group personal training teams in our facilities. This critical position requires a solid understanding of sales and operational excellence. The SM must execute lead generation and marketing strategies to increase fitness program sales and promote the health and wellness benefits associated with a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high-caliber approach to coaching and staff development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and exceed all OTF sales and operational budgets.
- Lead and coordinate sales drivers such as pre-sale events, studio events, and outreach initiatives.
- Oversee the sales process and systems.
- Manage, monitor, coach, develop, and evaluate the performance of all OTF-related managers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with OTF Business Policies for daily studio operations.
- Monitor hiring, training, and scheduling of all studio staff.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
- Optimize class sizes through effective scheduling.
- Develop a high-energy culture through contests and incentive-based motivation.
- Lead by example in all studio activities.
- Train and mentor staff for ongoing success and growth.
- Maintain OTF branding consistency in all actions.
- Empower, monitor, and evaluate sales and fitness team responsibilities.
- Handle disciplinary actions as needed.
- Achieve performance metrics (KPIs), revenue goals, inventory, payroll, cost controls, and facilities maintenance.
- Drive sales through outreach programs and promotional activities.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES
- Conduct 30-60-90 day and annual performance reviews.
- Enforce corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
- Ensure proper functioning of front desk systems including member check-in, inquiries, guest registration, cash handling, and account procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and effective decision-making regarding customer concerns.
- Plan and promote monthly special events for community engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and operational facility.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven sales leadership experience is REQUIRED.
- Excellent leadership and management skills to foster a positive environment.
- Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience and 2-3 years management experience, including staff oversight.
- Previous management experience in the health & fitness industry is strongly recommended.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and address client and staff concerns effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word).
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 3+ years management experience preferred.
- Team-oriented with flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Passion for fitness and health is strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION
Salary plus commission. This is a full-time position.
