Opportunity Center is hiring: Graphic Artist in Anniston

JOB TITLE: GRAPHIC ARTIST

LOCATION: OPPORTUNITY CENTER - EASTERSEALS

Education and Experience Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification in graphic design or at least 5 years of experience in graphic design within a similar print facility. Proficiency in computer-based design to meet customer requirements.

Specific Duties / Essential Functions

1. Produce high-quality artwork, including design, layout, and proofing for printed and digital marketing materials.
2. Collaborate with customers to define and design print art according to their needs and specifications.
3. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.
4. Assist the Print Shop Manager in setting orders to ensure a productive workflow.
5. Coordinate with printers to ensure clarity of design, quality control, and adherence to deadlines.
6. Communicate revisions, progress, and completion details to customers and the print shop manager.
7. Support clients during production runs as needed.
8. Ensure timely completion and shipment of all orders; proof work for quality assurance.
9. Accurately prepare invoices for individual orders.
10. Maintain the security and safety of print shop operations.
11. Manage placing orders, receiving inventory, and pricing job quotes.
12. Participate in rotating screen-printing orders among graphic artists.
13. Maintain cleanliness and demonstrate proper printing and screen printing techniques.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Expectations

Ability to read written materials, communicate effectively with staff, clients, and vendors, and have adequate mobility to perform job tasks.

Job Requirements

• Experience with industry-standard graphic design applications, preferably Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Ability to follow directions and provide feedback in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in live production environment preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work on short notice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others at all organizational levels.
• Proven initiative.

Job Type: Full-time

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday.
