Summary

The manager of Engagement and Communications is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing communications strategies, tools, and tactics supporting people-focused initiatives designed to improve culture and team member experience. The candidate will be required to balance nuanced and dynamic concepts that are critical to the organization's continued evolution as a best-in-class health care employer and then translate them into memorable messages resonant to team members, leaders, providers, and, when applicable, patients, families, the media, consumers, and the broader health care industry. The candidate will maintain strong relationships with key individuals throughout the organization—typically at the senior leader and executive level—and will be required to build and continually refine a thorough communication approach that engages and educates diverse stakeholders. Exceptional writing skills, a thorough understanding of the complex internal Children's Health landscape and employee demographics, and a deep familiarity with the emerging role of employee experience in health care—especially for deskless and hybrid/remote team members—are critical qualities for success. The manager must be detail-oriented and thoughtful, able to manage a team and broad scope of work, synthesize large-scale events, distill relevant employee impact and messaging, and creatively fulfill the needs of our rapidly-evolving and growing organization while demonstrating Children's Health’s core values—Selfless Service, Passionate Advocacy, Commitment to Excellence, and Unwavering Integrity.
