Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. We help small businesses discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores, leveling the playing field so they can compete with big box and e-commerce giants. By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire drives positive economic impact in local communities worldwide. We’re looking for smart, resourceful, and passionate people to join us in powering the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours. About This Role

Faire is invested in good design. As a Product Designer, you’ll join a collaborative team of designers dedicated to creating beautiful and intuitive experiences for thousands of small retailers and maker brands in our marketplace. You’ll help shape Faire’s product by working with research, engineering, product, and customer service teams. Your focus will be on designing features and experiences for a strategic product pillar, understanding customer challenges, and crafting flows that empower users. We seek team members who excel across the product development lifecycle, have a growth mindset, and a genuine desire to learn about our customers. Candidates should be open to working in San Francisco, CA, or New York City, NY. What You’ll Do

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, build, and launch new products and features. Construct user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design concepts for validation. Develop high-fidelity visuals that align with Faire’s brand and design system standards. Participate in user interviews and research to better understand customer needs. Write UX content to help customers achieve their goals on Faire. Contribute strategic insights to product features and roadmaps. Mentor and collaborate with other designers to improve quality. Shape the design team’s culture through collaboration, feedback, and process improvements. Qualifications

7+ years of experience designing digital products with attention to detail and high-quality visual, UX, systems, and content design. Excellent communication skills to present design decisions confidently. Collaborative approach, working well with cross-functional teams. Growth mindset, receptive to feedback, adaptable in a fast-paced environment. A sense of humor to foster a positive team culture. We value diverse experiences and creative influences. If you have firsthand experience as a maker or retailer, share your story! Salary Range

San Francisco, CA: $180,000 - $247,500 per year. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. Salary will be determined based on skills, experience, market demands, and location. The pay range may change in the future. Effective January 2025, employees are expected to work in-office 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with up to 4 weeks remote work annually. Some roles may require full-time onsite presence. Applications are accepted for a minimum of 30 days from posting. Why You’ll Love Working at Faire
