Responsibilities

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 0600-1600, with 8, 9, or 10-hour shifts based on departmental needs. No holidays or weekends.

Core Duties:

  • Provide health promotion and education, including tobacco awareness, cessation classes, nutrition, and weight management.
  • Develop programs targeting high-risk groups through group and individual counseling.
  • Plan and implement health education programs as specified in the TO.
  • Maintain records, data entry, and analysis of patient outcomes.
  • Update educational materials to support health promotion.

Additional Duties:

  • Support primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention efforts through marketing, curriculum development, and streamlining processes.
  • Develop and execute health promotion communications, train staff, create educational seminars, and develop digital content.
  • Collaborate on social media strategy, track metrics, and report outcomes monthly.
  • Work with command and community partners to create tailored health communication materials addressing key health issues.
  • Conduct needs assessments, incorporate best practices, and provide guidance to staff delivering health interventions.
  • Track success metrics, present activities to leadership, and expand interventions to additional clinics.
  • Design community-based strategies, maintain partnerships, and update online content.
  • Assist in policy review, coordinate special projects, and support health fairs and workshops.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Health, Nursing (with Masters in Nursing Administration or Education), or related field.
  • At least three years of relevant health promotion program experience.
  • Ability to pass a government background/security check.
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Pay Scale: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
