Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Promotions Coordinator responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing/Promotions to organize and coordinate various marketing, sales, and promotional events, as well as handling promotional office duties with a high level of customer service and administrative support for our listeners. The right individual will be ambitious, fun, energetic, and possess organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Note:
Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.
Employee may also be required to work onsite at our Daly City office location.
This position is an onsite role that requires working at client locations and station/community events.
Requires a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
What You Will Do
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with various stakeholders to organize events, promotions, and contests that benefit listeners and clients.
Provide excellent customer service, be detail-oriented, personable, outgoing, creative, highly organized, and a self-starter. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Work independently and as part of a team.
Attend and set up radio station events, ensuring station and client representation and satisfaction. Set up banners, tents, contests, etc.
Assist in drafting and coordinating schedules for the promotions team for onsite events.
Manage station prizes, perform basic office administrative functions, and oversee station equipment and storage.
Update the website, social media, and manage community events and databases.
Be punctual, flexible, and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Perform office tasks such as copying, mailing, calling, and typing.
Build professional relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and the public. Represent the stations professionally.
Drive station vehicles and operate audio and staging equipment at events.
Skills and Experience
Experience in marketing, communications, and knowledge of local radio stations.
Reliable, creative, outgoing, personable, and a self-starter.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership experience preferred.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects.
Experience with VPromo, Wrike, Wide Orbit, Wordpress, and social media tools.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Experience with compliance and contest rules generation.
Physical Demands
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
Sit and stand for long periods.
Lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Compensation Range:
$20 to $23 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
