Position Overview:

As a Social Media Manager, you will be part of the Strategy team, working remotely with colleagues worldwide. Your role involves establishing clients’ online presence, analyzing data, creating content, managing social media activities, and supporting internal needs. You will craft social-first content, including copy, videos, and visuals tailored for each platform.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, being a team player, social-savvy, and able to work independently. Occasional travel within Austin for onsite content creation and client meetings is expected.

Location:

Hybrid – Austin, TX preferred. Remote candidates near Austin will be prioritized.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and produce photo/video content onsite.
  • Participate in content planning, shoots, and stakeholder meetings at Austin headquarters.
  • Develop and grow social media communities.
  • Create native platform content: copy, visuals, videos.
  • Support content calendar development and execution.
  • Monitor social media performance, analyze insights, and refine strategies.
  • Engage with communities, respond to comments/messages.
  • Identify engagement opportunities and user-generated content.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and platforms.
  • Participate in client meetings, offer insights, and support social strategies.

Requirements:

  • Based in or willing to travel to Austin, TX.
  • Experience capturing content in real-world environments.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, etc.).
  • At least 2 years in social media community management and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, creativity, and initiative.
  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Khoros, etc.).
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and strategies.
  • Portfolio of past content is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willing to undergo a background check.
  • Reliable internet (min 30 Mbps), suitable hardware, and a quiet workspace.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Salary ranges from USD $50K-$65K, based on experience, with benefits including health, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and more. ICUC values diversity and is committed to accessibility and accommodations during the hiring process.
