Basic Function of the Position:

Support CTA's policy advocacy and public affairs efforts on artificial intelligence (AI) by managing communications tactics including CTA rapid response capabilities, stakeholder influence, media engagement and leveraging of partnerships to benefit CTA, member priorities and the consumer technology industry.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with media who cover core portfolio issues, attend in-person events across the DMV, monitor inside the beltway media coverage to understand what news is driving the day. Develop and execute strategic communications plans to support corporate goals, membership, and industry initiatives. Create high-quality written content, including press releases, op-eds, promotional materials, and social media content. Drive awareness of industry trends and product categories through strategic campaigns and budget management. Oversee media engagement efforts, including broadcast tours, influencer events, video production, and infographics. Manage external partnerships, vendors, and consultants to advance portfolio priorities. Act as a media contact and spokesperson on AI, digital assets, blockchain, and quantum. Liaise with membership groups including the AI working group, audio division, communications committee, Retailers Council, and Content and Entertainment Council. Support CES media engagement, tours, and serve as a show spokesperson. Contribute to CTA events by managing media interviews, content development, and strategic planning. Stay informed on industry trends through continuous learning and media engagement. Other duties as required by business needs. Work Experience:

Six+ years' experience in media relations and communications initiatives related to the tech industry and public policy around tech-related issues not limited to: developing and executing issue advocacy campaigns, writing press releases and op-eds, social, scripting, and media mapping. Demonstrated success in project management and organization. Experience in rhetorical research, fact-checking, analysis and content development. Education/Training:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, journalism, communications or equivalent work experience Additional consideration given to candidates with background in health and wellness-related issues Skills/Capabilities/Technical:

Exceptional writer and comfortable public speaker Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Proficiency in various online applications and public engagement tools Experienced in management and budgeting Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Curiosity and ability to think creatively and generate original content and strategies Able to work independently and proactively; a desire to seize opportunities Commitment to team, stakeholder orientation; comfort working with all staff levels Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, fluid environment Budget and Staff:
