The Senior Account Manager will lead day-to-day execution and strategic planning for clients across the lifestyle and beauty space. This role requires a strong communicator and media strategist who can craft compelling narratives, secure meaningful coverage, and drive visibility across traditional and emerging platforms. From managing launches to leading earned-first campaigns, the SAM will serve as a key client contact and internal team lead. Success in this role depends on the ability to multiple priorities while staying solutions-oriented, thinking quickly, adapting in real time, and building strong client relationships rooted in trust.
Role & Responsibilities
Manage approximately 6 to 8 accounts and projects with ownership and attention to detail
Lead media outreach and secure coverage across long-lead, short-lead, digital, broadcast, and social platforms
Write and edit press materials, messaging documents, and marketing collateral
Shape and pitch narratives that elevate client positioning and align with cultural and media trends
Oversee client campaigns and activations from planning through execution, ensuring delivery on goals and timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the agency’s broader expertise into client work
Consistently generate earned media coverage and develop proactive opportunities for clients
Build and maintain relationships with top editors, writers, influencers, substackers, social publishers and cultural voices
Guide and mentor junior team members, providing thoughtful feedback and oversight on recaps, agendas, and tracking
Offer strategic counsel alongside account leadership to ensure client satisfaction and growth
Work in the office at least 3 days per week

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field
5 to 7 years of experience at a PR agency, with a strong background in lifestyle and beauty; experience in luxury or spirits is a plus
A deep understanding of the media landscape and consumer behavior in the lifestyle space
Proven track record of securing meaningful coverage across top-tier outlets
Strong relationships with editors, media, and influencers across beauty, lifestyle, and adjacent sectors
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with evolving priorities
Exceptional project management skills, with a focus on organization and strategic planning
Superior written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Excellent interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration and maintain strong professional relationships
