Hourly Rate: $15

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing Peace by Piece events, workshops, and activities.
• Participate in workshops and help participants create knitted projects.
• Create punchcard designs for knitting workshops.
• Help create and distribute educational materials, social media content, and newsletters.
• Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of project outcomes.
• Maintain communication with student groups, campus departments, and community partners.
• Attend regular planning meetings and provide input on programming and outreach.
• Represent the Peace by Piece Project at campus and community events.
• Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the project’s values.

Work Conditions:

• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate flatbed knitting machines and industrial sewing machines.

Required Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess a Federal Work-Study Award to be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Experience in knitting, sewing, handcrafts, especially machine knitting.
• Comfortable working independently and in teams.
• Experience with social media, graphic design, or event planning is a plus.

Required Education: Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
