Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing Peace by Piece events, workshops, and activities
• Participate in workshops and help create knitted projects
• Create punchcard designs for knitting workshops
• Help develop educational materials, social media content, and newsletters
• Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of project outcomes
• Maintain communication with student groups, campus departments, and community partners
• Attend planning meetings and contribute ideas for programming and outreach
• Perform administrative duties like scheduling, emailing, and record keeping
• Represent the project at campus and community events
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment aligned with project values

Work Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Operate flatbed knitting and industrial sewing machines

Required Qualifications

• Must have Federal Work-Study Award
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Experience in knitting, sewing, or handcrafts, especially machine knitting
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Experience with social media, graphic design, or event planning is a plus

Education & Experience

Must be enrolled at Belmont University and meet the above qualifications.
