Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Music adjunct instructor positions for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the work station may change each semester. The successful applicant will be certified to use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes, attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades before deadlines. The instructor will also communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes to their chair/dean.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris
• Prepare course materials
• Evaluate student learning
• Maintain class records and submit reports on time

Working Conditions

Sedentary desk work; occasional travel for college or program activities. Standard office environment with minimal hazards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Music
• Effective communication skills with students and college personnel
