Job Description
The UX Researcher will be part of the United UX design team, conducting research to inform design from discovery to visual design. Responsibilities include developing research plans, analyzing data, and reporting findings to support product development. The role aims to create a superior user experience by transforming user needs into successful digital solutions.
Ideal candidates are curious about user behavior, skilled in qualitative and quantitative research methods, articulate, and able to communicate findings effectively. Comfortable with both group and individual research settings, and proficient in data analysis and user engagement.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research on product aspects and user experiences.
- Gather and analyze user behavior data via various methods including lab studies, ethnography, surveys, and A/B testing.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and other UX researchers to prioritize research activities.
- Integrate technical and business requirements into research efforts.
- Present research findings through reports and presentations.
- Source targeted research audiences.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of usability and UX research tools and techniques.
- 5+ years of usability research experience.
- Strong understanding of UI design principles.
- Moderation skills for group facilitation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience with remote usability testing and focus groups.
- Experience with both web and mobile platforms.
- Background in related fields like human factors or market research.
