Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Communication/Speech adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at other off-campus centers. The initial assignment may be at one of these locations, but the official work station may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully utilize the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. Responsibilities include attending required meetings, reporting attendance, early alert notifications, final grades, and communicating curriculum and personnel needs to the chair/dean.

Requirements of the Position

Duties and Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit reports on time.

Working Conditions

Sedentary work; occasional travel for college activities. Standard office environment with environmental controls for health and comfort.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Communications/Speech. Effective communication skills with students and staff are required.
