Position Overview

Oxford Global Resources is seeking a Sr. PCB Designer (Layout) / Librarian for a 6-month contract to hire position located in Morgan Hill, CA. The role involves high-speed, high-density multilayer PCB design using Siemens PADS Standard Plus and Xpedition, including RF, analog/digital, and flex PCBs. The successful candidate will also manage library parts creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-speed, high-layer-count PCBs, including microstrip and stripline designs, using Siemens PADS and Xpedition.
  • Work from schematics, mechanical drawings, and functional descriptions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers and provide engineering support.
  • Create documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly.
  • Interface with vendors for fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Create and maintain library parts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RoHS standards.
  • Generate decal and schematic symbols for PCB design software.
  • Report to the PCB Design Manager based in Morgan Hill.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of PCB design experience using Siemens PADS Standard Plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Siemens Xpedition.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a PCB librarian using Siemens PADS Standard Plus.
  • Knowledge of FR4, Rogers materials, and flex substrates.
  • Strong understanding of IPC standards and library footprint creation.
