Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes the first year in this position:

· Routinely craft senior leader messaging that is in line with mission, objectives, and reflective of U.S. Space Force culture within minimal correction.

· Perform accurate, high quality, and timely work which leads to positive feedback from the government.

Responsibilities:

The Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) and the Director of Staff (HQSF/DS) require assistance in organizational planning, implementation, maturation, and strengthening of the HQ USSF. To further the process of developing HQ USSF, a multi-faceted planning, integration, and management support team continues to implement a multi-phased (multi-year) plan to transition HQ USSF from an initial operating capacity to full operational capacity.Strategic Communication Support personnelwill perform the following functions:

· Provide direct support to the Vice Chief of Space Operations (VCSO), by drafting speeches, other remarks, and talking points that accurately convey the intended message.

· Create communication products for a variety of audiences. This may include reports, congressional testimony, “question-for-the-record” responses, senior leader prep materials for informal or formal engagements, guidebooks, instructional materials, and summaries of specific interest items.

· Work with members of the HQ USSF staff and Department of the Air Force offices to assist in the development of the Service’s communication strategy.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualification:

· Over eighteen (18) years of progressive experience in high-level technical and organizational support services, to include demonstrated written and oral communications skills.

· Familiarity with government – preferably U.S. military – structure, and communication strategies and practices.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
