Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations, including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest DMAs, with duopolies in 11 DMAs, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Of these, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. Our stations distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging demand for the FOX Network’s content.

Job Description

We are seeking a Line Producer to create, develop, and produce daily rundowns for up to a 90-minute newscast. Responsibilities include:

1. Assigning news stories to writers.
2. Assisting in editing stories submitted by writers and reporters.
3. Coordinating production activities and deadlines with directors, technical staff, and the production crew.
4. Collaborating with the Assignment Desk, Managing Editor, Executive Producers, and News Directors on story preparation.
5. Creating graphics, maps, banners, and chyrons for the newscast.
6. Maintaining flexibility during broadcasts to cover breaking news and monitoring the show's timing.
7. Ensuring the newscast meets its scheduled time.

Qualifications include:

1. 3-5 years of experience as a line producer in cable, local, or network news.
2. Major market experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of newsroom systems like iNews is desirable.
4. A college degree is required.
5. Willingness to work weekends, overnights, and evenings.

The pay rate for this role is $48.25 per hour, with eligibility for benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits per company policies. Union employees will be covered by their collective bargaining agreement.
