OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations across the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. Our stations distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Create, develop, and produce daily rundowns for up to a 90-minute newscast. Assign news stories to writers, assist in editing stories, and coordinate production activities with directors, technical staff, and the news team. Collaborate with the Assignment Desk, Managing Editor, Executive Producers, and News Directors on story preparation and rundowns. Create graphics, maps, banners, and chyrons for the newscast. Maintain flexibility during broadcasts to cover breaking news and monitor the show's running time. Must be an excellent writer with strong news judgment and understanding of visual news tools like video walls and graphics. Ability to work under pressure and possess excellent communication, organizational, and people skills.

Qualifications include 3-5 years of experience as a line producer in cable, local, or network news, with preferred major market experience. Knowledge of newsroom computer systems (e.g., iNews) is desired. A college degree is required. Willingness to work weekends, overnights, and evenings is necessary.

The pay rate for this role is approximately $48.25 per hour, depending on education, skills, experience, and location.
