Public Relations Assistant – Entry Level Job at The MGN Foundation in Richmond

We’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Public Relations Assistant to join our outreach and event promotion team. This hands-on role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in brand communications, PR strategy, and event support, all while contributing to meaningful, purpose-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a public-facing representative of our organization at community events, pop-up campaigns, and outreach initiatives.
• Communicate key messages and share our mission with diverse audiences in a friendly and engaging manner.
• Assist with event logistics, including setup, coordination, and breakdown.
• Foster relationships with attendees, local partners, and community stakeholders.
• Distribute marketing and promotional materials; answer general questions and guide public interaction.
• Gather feedback from participants and support ongoing improvements in public messaging and event execution.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred (but not required).
• Internship, volunteer, or campus experience in PR, community outreach, or event coordination is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
