Job DescriptionBase Location: The Campus, YangonReporting to: Chief Technology StrategistJob Profile
  • Lead and manage the design team in the development of solar-hybrid power systems for telecom, commercial & industrial, and rural electrification projects.
  • Develop and review system designs, layouts, and schematics for solar PV, battery energy storage, and diesel generator hybrid systems.
  • Ensure designs meet technical, regulatory, and safety standards, including IEC, IEEE, and Myanmar energy regulations.
  • Optimize system configurations to enhance energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and site assessments to support project planning and development.
  • Manage the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for permits and approvals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in renewable energy design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
Job SpecificationQualification:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in power system design, with a focus on solar PV, energy storage, and hybrid systems.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, load calculations, and energy management systems.
  • Proficiency in design and simulation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Homer Pro, Helioscope, and ETAP.
  • Experience in managing engineering teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Myanmar’s energy regulations and permitting process is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proficiency in English and Myanmar preferred.
