Position: Part-time Music Teacher

Job Description:

St. Isaac Jogues Catholic School is seeking a Music teacher for Kindergarten through Eighth grade. The ideal candidate should have the ability to provide students with a strong foundational music education through active instruction. The selected candidate will become a member of the St. Isaac Jogues Shared Time team through Redford Union School District.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Music Education
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Protecting God’s Children Certificate and Criminal History Background/Fingerprint check
• Experience teaching music at primary/elementary and middle school levels
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to develop and implement appropriate lesson plans for each grade level
• Collaborate with the St. Isaac Jogues team to ensure cross-curricular connections
• Effective communication with parents, coworkers, and students
• Commitment to supporting our Catholic identity, where Christ is our teacher
