Palms Associates is hiring a Construction Assistant for Commercial Remodeling.

Palms is looking for an experienced Construction Assistant for Commercial Remodeling to join our established team and contribute to our managed properties throughout the Southeast.

About the Role

As a Construction Assistant for Commercial Remodeling, you’ll work independently and with teams on projects across our properties. Based in Newport News, VA, this role involves travel within a 2-hour radius, including occasional trips to Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, and other Southeast markets.

Your responsibilities include estimating project timelines, managing your schedule, and executing hands-on renovation work focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate with onsite maintenance and leasing teams to deliver impactful results.

Candidates with proven experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Carpentry
• General Construction
• Property Remodeling & Renovations
• Project Estimating & Time Management
• Job Site Safety Procedures and Proper Tool Use
