Community Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of a housing community, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management.
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with policies, safety, fair housing, and liability guidelines.
- Manage personnel through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Achieve financial goals through cost control and revenue management; develop budgets and monitor financial transactions.
- Develop and implement leasing strategies, handle resident relations, and promote resident retention.
- Ensure administrative and maintenance tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
- Lead emergency response and maintain property appearance and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in housing industry.
- Certifications such as CAM or ARM preferred.
- Proficiency with on-site management software and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical & Equipment Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, work overtime, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs., working in various environments, and operating machinery.
- Reliable transportation is required due to emergency on-call duties.
Compensation includes a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 annually, benefits, 401K, bonuses, and paid time off.
