Join Asset Living as a Senior Community Manager to oversee the operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager.

Position

Role: Senior Community Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of property operations including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration, and risk management.
  • Supervise on-site staff to ensure compliance with Asset Living policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability controls.
  • Personnel management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; conduct ongoing training and performance management; complete staff schedules.
  • Financial management: aim to maximize net operating income through cost controls and revenue/leasing improvements; develop operating budgets/forecasts; monitor deposits, rent collections, and vendor invoices; ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Strategic leasing management: develop yearly marketing plans, implement leasing strategies, ensure effective closing, follow-up, leasing documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Resident relations: address resident complaints and requests; develop and implement retention programs; conduct showings, leases, and move-ins.
  • Administrative and maintenance management: ensure accurate leasing reporting, manage emergencies per company guidelines, monitor service requests, and maintain property appearance with regular inspections.
  • Resource management: obtain bids, manage vendors, and ensure efficient use of property resources and staff direction for maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of housing industry experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Ability to perform on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular communication with others; ability to work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed for emergencies.
  • Ability to remain stationary or move about as needed; may require climbing stairs or ladders and lifting up to 25 lbs; may work in various environments and temperatures.

Licenses/Equipment

  • Reliable transportation due to on-call emergency requirements.

Salary Range: $26 per year to $29 per year.
